Two battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, one heavy cruiser Prinz Eugene, half a dozen Schnell and torpedo boats and a huge fighter escort sets the scene for the famous ;Channel Dash. With a tight deadline of 6 weeks, we had to illustrate the entire scenario of the channel crossing. The departure from Brest at night, journey through the straights of Dover and the battle with the RAF Fiarey Swordfish which definitely was the high point of the production. The management of resources was a tricky issue because of the sheer size of the project. The outcome was great and it was delivered in the desired allotted time.
